Art Docents Needed for LCE!

 
 
 
 
 
Do you believe art plays an important role in students' learning?
Do you have a passion for art and would like to share it?
Do you want to volunteer at school with flexible time commitment?
 
Sign up to be the art docent in your child's 1st-6th classroom!
 
No art background or experiences required! All materials and supplies provided! 
  • Coordinate with your child's teacher: teach an art lesson 3-4 times a year
  • Reach out to other art docents-  teach a lesson together or take turns
  • 45-60 minutes each lesson: introduction plus hands-on project
  • Topics/Projects include (but not limited to):
-        Art work during a specific period of time / style
-        Artists
-        Story-based / inspired
-        Culture/ festival theme
-        School curriculum related
  • Utilize the fully-stocked art supply room
  • Sample lesson plans shared on art docent Shutterfly website
